OET - Occupational English Test.

German B1 level classes are designed for those who wish to study or work in German Speaking Countries.

OET aims at evaluating the linguistic proficiency of medical professions who plan to render their services in predominantly English speaking countries. OET looks for all the four core elements of English language - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking with specific concentration on communication in the healthcare system, to communicate with patients, co-workers, doctors and associated persons in a medical environment.

Persons who qualify OET are considered eligible to occupy professional positions in medical sector health care facilities.

We are, however, coaching students for OET in the NURSING sector only.

OET covers the four core language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking

  • The Listening segment is the same for all sectors of healthcare professionals and covers a range of health-related materials. The test duration is approx. 45 minutes.
  • The Reading segment is also the same for all healthcare professionals. The ability to read and understand different types of text on health-related subjects is evaluated. This segment is 60 minutes long.
  • The Writing segment is profession-specific for each sector of health professionals and is based on workplace scenarios. The time allotted for the Writing segment is 45 minutes.
  • Speaking is yet another profession-specific segment with workplace scenario-based evaluation. This segment is allotted approx. 20 minutes.
